On Thursday 30 July 2026, ZS Uniforms supplied 72 school jerseys in Thuthuka Primary School’s own maroon and gold for the Fudumala Ubuntu Challenge handover in Tembisa. It was the second school in three days, and it came out of the same workroom as the 100 jerseys delivered to Sindawonye Primary School two days earlier.

A jersey only counts as uniform if it is the school’s own colours
Thuthuka Primary School wears maroon with gold trim on the V-neck and the cuffs, and carries its crest and the words Aim High on the chest. That specification is not decoration. It is the difference between a learner who is in uniform and a learner who is merely dressed warmly, and it is the first thing ZS Uniforms gets right on any school order.

Seventy-two jerseys, seventy-two names on the labels
Each jersey was sealed and labelled before it left, with the learner’s name, school and grade on the front of the pack. Nothing was sorted on the day, and nothing was guessed at the table. The learner walked up, found their own name, and took the jersey that had been made ready for them in their size.

Built for the part of winter nobody talks about
Winter orders tend to dry up at the end of July, as though the cold keeps to the calendar. Tembisa fell to about 10°C the night before this handover and climbed to roughly 20°C under a clear sky, with humidity down to 18 percent. The following nights were forecast near 6°C, and the fortnight ahead carried no rain at all. August on the Highveld is cold, dry and windy, and children still walk to school in it.

On Tuesday 28 July, ZS Uniforms supplied 100 school jerseys for the Investec-backed handover at Sindawonye Primary School in Mamelodi. On Thursday 30 July, another 72 went to Thuthuka Primary School in Tembisa. Two schools, two sets of colours, two full runs of individual labelling, inside three days.
That is the reason schools and sponsors keep coming back to a supplier rather than a shop. Volume, correct colours and named delivery are one job here, not three separate ones.

How the Fudumala partnership works
The split is simple and has not changed since the campaign launched. Fudumala raises the funding, ZS Uniforms supplies the jerseys, and Threads for iKasi Foundation coordinates the handover with the school. The 72 jerseys for Thuthuka Primary School were funded by private sponsors of the campaign, people who paid for a jersey they will never see worn.
